Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Architect who is not only proficient in designing and implementing modern applications but also highly skilled in utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies to drive application development and modernization. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to create and communicate strategic frameworks and insights for integrating AI in application modernization efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable, cloud-native applications, ensuring they align with business needs and modern development practices.
  • Drive the modernization of legacy systems by identifying areas where AI can automate processes, refactor code, or improve system performance.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement strategies for migrating and modernizing legacy applications to cloud-native environments.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and LLMs to improve development cycles, including automating testing, enhancing code quality, and streamlining deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed roadmaps for application modernization, balancing strategic goals with technology implementation, resource allocation, and project milestones.
  • Mentor development teams on adopting modern application practices, ensuring effective collaboration and use of new tools to improve workflows.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership and clients on modern application architectures and the role of AI in achieving business transformation.
  • Monitor emerging AI trends and technologies, evaluating their potential to improve application development processes or enhance system capabilities.
  • Ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance in line with business and technical requirements.

 



Qualifications
  • Over 7 years of experience in application development and architecture, with expertise in modernizing enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to integrate AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs) where relevant, to improve automation, code quality, and system performance.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern development frameworks.
  • Ability to build and communicate strategic roadmaps for application modernization and the adoption of new technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#, with experience in AI/ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
  • Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native application development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Ability to guide teams in the adoption of AI tools where applicable, improving development speed and reducing errors.

Preferred Skills and Education:

  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP), chatbots, or AI-driven automation solutions in application development.
  • Familiarity with legacy code transformation tools, especially for mainframe or monolithic-to-microservices migrations.
  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978.00 to $178,090.00 Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
